Coronas star misses own party for a night with mum

CHART-TOPPERS The Coronas were keeping it low key when it came to celebrating their headline gig in Marlay Park at the weekend.

The Diary can reveal how the band's frontman Danny O'Reilly and his other half, MTV presenter Laura Whitmore, skipped an exclusive after-show party at the Beacon Hotel in Sandyford, where support acts Bressie and Royseven partied into the early hours.

Instead, the couple marked Friday's concert with a quieter celebration, joining Danny's family members, including his mum, singer Mary Black and her famous sister, Francis.

It was a busy weekend for the couple, with Laura (26) making an appearance at the Q Bar on O'Connell Bridge on Saturday evening, where she showed off her skills on the decks as part of venue's Summer Sessions line-up.

The Bray beauty's good pal Bressie, meanwhile, enjoyed a flying visit to the capital, given that he had to jet back to London on an 8am flight on Saturday morning to put the finishing touches to his debut solo album.

The Can't Stay Young Forever singer, who was joined by a number of pals at the Beacon, revealed how he was keen to let his hair down following the adrenalin rush from his performance.

The Mullingar singer was in good company, with top models Daniella Moyles and Louise Johnston also spotted celebrating at Beacon Hotel after the first in a series of '@ the Park' gigs.

Former Miss Universe Ireland winner's Rozanna Purcell and Lynn Kelly had been due to join the pair for a girly night out but had to pull out at the last minute.

The festivities will continue at Marlay Park this Friday night, with 2ManyDJs set to perform to at the venue.
