Cocktails flow at Midday awards night

GET a group of women together and load them up with free cocktails and pizza and you have the recipe for a wild night out.

The glitterati were out in force when the women from TV3's Midday show joined forces to paint the town red.

Restaurateur Sallyanne Clarke (left), author and actress Caroline Grace-Cassidy and TV3 anchor Collette Fitzpatrick were among the ladies who celebrated the inaugural Midday Awards ceremony.

Leeson Street haunt Bucks Townhouse was awash with fancy frocks and laughter on the weekend that ladies round the world marked International Women's Day.

The women-only night was hosted by Midday presenters Elaine Crowley and Sybil Mulcahy with beauty expert Triona McCarthy, ex-Fair City star Caroline Grace Cassidy and chef Derry Clarke's wife Sallyanne among the big winners on the night.

Glamorous Triona was giddy with delight after scooping a gold statue when she was crowned winner of the TMI (Too Much Information) award, and had plenty to talk about as the drinks swirled and merriment continued.
