LINGERIE model Claudine Keane (28) has spoken of her shock after she narrowly avoided being involved in a pile-up on an LA freeway.
And the Ultimo beauty revealed that she had just dropped off her young son Robert Jnr at his nursery.
"Just witnessed a horrific car crash after dropping Robert to nursery. Five cars involved, ten seconds later I would have been too -- scary," she said.
She told the Herald: "The lights went red so that's the only thing that saved us from being in it -- literally five seconds saved us.
"Nobody was fatally injured but they were hurt. It was awful and just shows that you don't know what's going to happen at any time. It opened my eyes -- life's for living."
The blonde beauty made the big move from her native home in Britain to California after her hubby Robbie landed a big-money contract with LA Galaxy.
Although she admits that she has been homesick, the couple are embracing their new life in the sun-kissed city -- and are busy making friends in high places.
Young Robert was recently snapped proudly watching his dad taking to the pitch for LA Galaxy alongside his new pal, team-mate David Beckham.
And the youngster was accompanied in the VIP box by none other than Beckham's three boys Brooklyn (12), Cruz (9) and Romeo (7).
Claudine revealed previously how David had been on the phone giving advice to Robbie several times ahead of his big-money move there last August.
Since then, they have met up with the Beckhams several times as they continue to forge a friendship between the two families.
However, Claudine has vowed to stay true to her roots and often mixes expensive items with some high street pieces.
"I like bits of designer stuff, but I'm actually more [into everything]. I might have a [designer] bag or a scarf or something like that, I like to mix and match," she said.
"There are really nice centres here, where you can pick up high street stuff, and then obviously here you can get your designer pieces and invest in something a bit more expensive."
Former Miss Ireland contestant Claudine is also looking forward to flying back to Europe this summer to cheer on the boys in green in their Euro 2012 campaign.
