Claudine's a favourite in festival style stakes

IRELAND'S favourite WAG Claudine Keane will be on top form in the style stakes this week when she and her mum Joan take to the Cheltenham Festival for Ladies Day.

The glamorous wife of Ireland's soccer captain, Robbie Keane, is expected to make an appearance at Thursday's race meeting alongside her beloved mum, who she recently described as her best friend.

The blonde beauty jetted into town this weekend to pay a special visit to her mum for Mother's Day, with the pair hitting the town on Friday night when they were spotted partying at Krystle nightclub.

Mum-of-one Claudine has been invited to attend the race meeting as a guest of one her WAG pals, with the glamorous ladies enjoying a private box.

"We're hoping to go to Cheltenham for Ladies Day on Thursday," her mother Joan explained. "It's always a great excuse to get glammed up and put on a nice dress.

"Robbie went last year for a day with some of his teammates, but Claudine was obviously very pregnant and wasn't up to it," she continued.

"She's hoping to make up for it this year. It will be a proper family day out," she added.

Model and actress Liz Hurley, who lives in the Cheltenham area, is also expected to attend on Thursday afternoon.

Supermodel Jodie Kidd will be on hand to judge the Best Dressed Lady event, which will take place throughout the morning in the build-up to the first race at 1.30pm.

Three lucky female race-goers who impress the judges will enjoy a package of luxury prizes, including 12 months' use of a new Alfa Romeo Mito, 24-hour use of an Aston Martin DB9, a magnum of champagne and a stay at The Greenway hotel.
