Claudine puts career on hold as she moves to Glasgow

ROBBIE Keane may have scored a tidy €60,000 weekly pay packet with his move to Celtic but Glasgow is a far cry from the glitz and glamour of London that his wife Claudine has become accustomed to.

The model (26) has made no bones of her hopes to carve out a new TV career in London, given that she has signed up to a top talent agency called Money Management.

However, now that she'll have to move up to Scotland with her hubbie Robbie and their 10-month-old son Robbie Jnr, she'll have to adjust to a whole new way of life.

"Glasgow is light years away from London when it comes to career opportunities for someone in the public eye like Claudine," said an insider.

"She was perfectly placed to start making a proper go of things in the TV and modelling world but it will be like starting afresh for her to move somewhere like that.

"She loves the social life in London and the fact that all the top clubs and best boutiques are there as she's such a huge fashion fan. It will be a massive change for her to be somewhere like Glasgow after spending so long in a busy place like London."

At least the gorgeous Dubliner won't be stuck when it comes to picking a plush pad for the couple to live in during his time with Celtic. Upmarket areas such as Giffnock, Whitecraigs and Newton Mearns all come with hefty price tags starting from €1m and have been relatively unaffected by the downturn.

Stunning mum-of-one Claudine, who loves to hit Dublin nightclubs like Krystle with her mum Joan, needn't fret about having nowhere to socialise either. Upmarket clubs like Karbon, One Up, 29 and Boho are all regular haunts of fun-loving WAGs and are usually filled to the rafters with glamorous types every weekend.

She won't be stuck for equally glamorous pals to hang around with either. Supermodel Tatiana Raway, who dates Premiership striker and former Rangers star Daniel Cousin, is one of the regulars on the scene, as is Laura O'Donnell, who's the partner of Scotland and Rangers striker Kenny Miller. Other favourites with the Scottish paparazzi is gorgeous Jean Johansson, a weather presenter for STV, who's married to Hibs star Jonatan.

Keane, who has earned a rumoured €13m during his lengthy career, this week became the highest earner in Scottish football history thanks to his lucrative Celtic deal.

The superstar striker's bumper wages eclipse those of former Hoops players Henrik Larsson and Thomas Gravesen. His €2.28m loan deal from Spurs until the end of the season will see him pocket €1.14m including bonuses for just 14 weeks' work, with the SPL ending on May 9.
