Claudia takes leaf out of Cecelia's book for new film

AUTHOR Claudia Carroll has revealed how fellow novelist Cecelia Ahern has become her sounding block before she heads to Hollywood to see her book turned into a blockbuster movie next year.

The former Fair City actress told the Diary how she has just got word that a second book, If This Is Paradise, I Want My Money Back is also set to be optioned for the big screen and said she will be jetting between Dublin and LA to finalise the details for both films over the coming months.

New mum and multi-millionaire author Cecelia was among those who turned on the style at an invite-only bash in Eason's on O'Connell Street last night to celebrate the release of Claudia's seventh book, Personally I Blame My Fairy Godmother.

"Cecelia's great. She's a real dote and she's just been so supportive to me since the very beginning," she explained. "We're in the final stages of turning I Never Fancied Him Anyway into a film and Cecelia's been giving me lots of advice about how to deal with the agents, script-writers, producers and all that side of things.

"Above all else she's just been telling me to enjoy it and make the most of the process because it may never happen again," she added.
