RTE star Claire Byrne has insisted that she won't be lifting the lid on the mystery surrounding her break-up with Goal donor liaison officer Jonathan Edgar.
The Herald writer, who has been making headlines in recent weeks after confirming that her relationship of several years is over, claims she won't be saying any more on the matter.
Claire, who is due to begin presenting new RTE show Daily Extra alongside co-host Daithi O Se next Monday, says her main focus now is to prepare for her new job.
"I don't really want to say anything more [on the break-up]," she told the Diary. "I think I'm better off keeping my mouth shut.
"I've been very busy preparing for the new show. For the next five days we'll be in rehearsals every day and then it's D-day. Everyone on the crew just wants to get on air now and we're all looking forward to it."
Claire went on to explain how she's relishing her morning lie-ins now that she doesn't have to get up at 4.30am every morning, as she did when she presented Breakfast on Newstalk.
"I don't know myself now that I'm setting my alarm clock for 7.30am every morning and not three hours earlier.
"Not getting up in the middle of the night makes such a difference to your energy levels."
The Laois native was speaking at Saturday night's People of the Year Awards at the Citywest Hotel.
Wearing a fitted black dress and some costume jewellery she picked up at the recent Ultimate Girls Day Out at the RDS, Claire was dressed to impress as she joined her sister Fiona McKeon at the event.
This year Claire was invited to be an ambassador for the event alongside rugby pundit Brent Pope and says she was honoured to be asked to be involved in such a worthwhile cause.
Also choosing the occasion to make her return to the limelight following her recent marriage break-up was the newly slimmed down Mairead Farrell, who dazzled in a fitted black dress.
The Today FM star attended the event with a friend and explained how she was still recovering from Thursday night's festivities, when the Ray D'Arcy Show marked its 10-year anniversary.
Meanwhile, host of the People of the Year award's show, newly single Grainne Seoige, looked radiant in a fitted black gown with encrusted jewels.
Among the other high profile guests who attended the event were Marian Finucane, Larry Gogan, Kenny Egan, Emma O'Driscoll, Peter Kelly better known as Franc, Lorraine Keane and her musician hubby Peter Devlin, weather presenter Nuala Carey and 2009 Rose of Tralee Charmaine Kenny.
