Cici glassed by club attacker in a jealous rage over her TV role

MODEL Cici Cavanagh is recovering after being attacked while enjoying a night out over the weekend.

The Diary has learned how the Fade Street star and Assets model was on the town with pals on Sunday night when she suffered an unprovoked assault.

The reality star revealed how the incident, which saw her suffer a deep gash to the chin after being hit with a glass, happened after a fellow reveller took offence at her participation in Hills-style RTE series Fade Street.

caught

The Palmerstown catwalk queen had been partying at city-centre haunt The Pod, where an all-day bank holiday Mongo event, featuring up to 30 DJs and live acts, took place.

Cici (21) yesterday had to receive stitches for the cut, which she is hoping will have healed within a couple of days.

The brunette beauty was reluctant to discuss the attack when contacted, although it is understood that the person in question has been caught.

Cici did, however, thank her followers on Twitter for their support following the incident.

"Thanks guys for your concern," she wrote yesterday. "Means a lot -- I'm going to go to get my stitches soon. But I'm going to keep sessioning," she added.

Since filming wrapped on Fade Street earlier this year, Cici has been working tirelessly to build her career as a DJ.

The model played an indie set at Tripod on Saturday night and also recently made her debut at the Oxegen festival.

The Assets beauty is due to take off for a two-week holiday in Ibiza on Thursday alongside a group of pals.

And just as Cici is getting ready to leave the country, her friend and co-star on the RTE reality series, Vogue Williams, is due to fly home to Dublin this week.

The Howth beauty has been living it up in Sydney, Australia, since last May, when she jetted Down Under for what was supposed to be a three-week holiday.

Vogue, who is now dating former Westlife singer Brian McFadden, is due to make her return to the modelling world this Thursday.

The gorgeous blonde won't be sticking around for too long however, with plans already in place for her to return to Oz in September.

charity

Vogue's model pals including Louise Johnston, Daniella Moyles, Rozanna Purcell and Georgia Salpa are already planning their reunion with her.

McFadden's new girlfriend is among the big names expected to attend a special charity evening at city-centre haunt Harry's On The Green next week.

The VIP bash will be hosted by the four beauties, all of whom are due to complete their charity climb of Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of the Make A Wish foundation.

The trek will be filmed by Straywave Media for a one-off documentary programme for TV3.

The girls are already hard at work to get fit in time for the challenge and are working with trainer Paddy McKeon.
