Cheryl thrilled to be in Dublin for O2 gig

Anticipation is building for Cheryl Cole's big Million Lights gig in the O2 this Thursday with the lady herself counting down the days to her latest trip across the pond

"Cheryl is thrilled to be coming back to Dublin," an inside source said.

"She really likes Dublin and her Irish fans. She thinks it's a great city, especially for shopping and socialising and only wishes her stay wasn't quite so brief."

The Parachute singer is promoting her upcoming album A Million Lights with a ten-date tour.

The tour will end with Cole performing in her home town of Newcastle Upon Tyne on October 17.

The star, who famously got axed from the US X Factor, recently appeared on the UK version, helping fellow judge Gary Barlow whittle down the over-25s category.

But so far the former Girls Aloud singer has no plans to promote her album stateside.

"I haven't any plans to try and break America this time," the singer said.

"I'm more than happy releasing it in the UK and Ireland. It's not in my plans to tour or release there. But I'm looking forward to the tour."
