Charity climb comes first for star trainer

CELEBRITY trainer to the stars Paul Byrne has postponed his Thailand honeymoon with bride-to-be Siobhan Stephens in order to jet to Tanzania with a host of big names next month for a charity climb of Mount Kilimanjaro.

The Diary can reveal how the buff gym instructor -- who has helped everyone from Grainne Seoige to Ronan Keating shape up -- will spend just a couple of days on the party isle of Ibiza following the wedding next Friday before returning home to continue training for the Climb for Kids challenge.

Paul told how he will have his hands full putting celebrity participants Sile Seoige, Kathryn Thomas, Jenny Buckley, Alan Shortt and 2fm's Ruth Scott through their paces upon his return, as they prepare to fly to Africa on October 9, and has decided to schedule his honeymoon for December instead.

Former Mr Ireland Paul will exchange vows with girlfriend of five years Siobhan at Es Xarcu beach in Ibiza, in front of a select group of 30 guests, which include Boyzone's Keith Duffy and wife Lisa, singer Brian Kennedy and magician Keith Barry.

Paul's team of personal trainers from his Clarendon Street fitness centre Body Byrne gym will also be jetting out to the Spanish island for the big day.
