Catwalk star Isabelle is ready to become a model mother

CATWALK model Isabelle Traber and her Irish husband Bobby Healy are the latest high-profile couple to be expecting.

Dublin-based Isabelle has built up a portfolio of designer client jobs in South Africa, Paris and London.

Isabelle, who is signed with First Options model agency here, married her Irish beau Bobby Healy earlier this year.

The 27-year-old has to put some of her modelling commitments on the back burner now that she is pregnant.

The couple are the latest in a long list of celebs who are preparing their homes for a new baby.

Ireland captain Brian O'Driscoll and his actress wife Amy Huberman, as well as model Pippa O'Connor and her beau Brian Ormond, are all expecting.

Isabelle, who is Swiss, moved to Ireland to be with Bobby, a software writer with a leading software and product development firm. He is credited with encouraging Isabelle to pursue a career in modelling.

She originally moved to Ireland in the hope of improving her English, after finishing her degree in international business and economics. "I had this friend in Ireland, who is now my boyfriend, who said, 'You should come to Dublin'," she said earlier.

And although she has a jetset lifestyle, modelling for Chanel, Diane von Furstenberg, Victoria Beckham and Dolce & Gabbana, she said that she is 'settled' in Ireland.

Isabelle admitted that she was worried at first about being too old for fashion modelling. "Here in Ireland I like it that the market is there for slightly older models," she said."

But she disagrees with the idea of lying about your age in order to further your career in fashion circles.

"It's horrible. It's stupid," she says.

"You just look the way you look. It shouldn't be attached to a certain age."

Isabelle is the face of Savida Lingerie but also has agents in London and Cape Town, where her exotic looks and tall, slender frame are in high demand.
