Caroline's new shape down to lack of Tayto and Guinness in LA

ASPIRING actress Caroline Morahan claims her slimmed-down figure is all down to a booze-free lifestyle in LA.

The brunette beauty, who was once known for her curves, insists that she hasn't made a conscious effort to shed the pounds since leaving Ireland for a new life in Tinseltown last summer.

Despite looking a shadow of her former self when she jetted home for a visit last week, Caroline (32) told the Diary how she hasn't actually lost any weight.

"People have been saying it to me but I haven't been doing anything crazy, I haven't even lost any weight," she explained. "I'm a bit more toned, maybe.

"I've been jogging and doing yoga more frequently than I normally would, certainly, but that's just because you're more motivated in LA with the good weather.

"Also the drinking culture doesn't really exist over there. My pints of Guinness and my packets of Tayto, which were frequent, are just not there."

Caroline revealed that she is set to return to her adopted home of California in a fortnight's time and has already committed to taking on a new film role upon her return to America.

According to the former RTE star: "I'm absolutely loving it over there. My return flight isn't booked yet but I'm hoping to be here for another two weeks at least. I'm shooting something when I go back but I can't say too much about it."

Caroline said she has been concentrating on spending time with her family and friends since jetting home last Thursday, having attended a school reunion and her niece's birthday bash over the weekend.

The busy Glasnevin native is also set to attend the weddings of two close friends before she returns to LA.

Caroline was remaining tight-lipped about her future TV plans, however, after her last venture as co-host of TV3's Cosmetic Surgery Show failed to set the world alight.

Yesterday saw the ambitious beauty make her return to the limelight when she stepped out to serve up some lunch tips by Good Food blogger Donal Skehan, in preparation for Rehab's first ever national fundraising appeal, 1 Day for Rehab.

The event will take place on June 20 and Caroline is hoping to host a farewell lunch for family and friends before her departure, in order to raise money for the cause.
