Caprice counting down to launch of new style show

THERE are less than three weeks left before filming starts on Style Wars, TV3's new reality show fronted by the glamorous Caprice.

The blonde model will take centre stage as one of the judges on the forthcoming show which is aimed at rivalling RTE's Off The Rails.

And the Diary sees that the commercial station is wasting little time in forging ahead with the new show, given that filming is due to start around April 16.

Caprice, who has admitted she would love to meet an Irish guy while working over here, has jetted off to the sun-kissed city of LA this week for some work meetings ahead of coming back to Europe to start work on the show.

She'll join fashion designer Peter O'Brien and Angela Wood on the judging panel as they try to pick out a worthy winner.

A call has now gone out for willing participants who want to get involved in the show -- with the only stipulation being that they must adore fashion.

The show, made by Toto Productions, is appealing for everyone from aspiring designers to fashion stylists, as well as those in fashion journalism, with the overall prize yet to be decided.

While Caprice will take centre stage during the programme, a host of contributors from the world of modelling, television and showbiz will also appear on the show as they give their opinion on the results of the weekly tasks.

The supermodel has revealed how she is looking for anyone "with a passion for fashion" but also someone who knows about surviving in a recession.

Caprice, who also runs her own fashion chain, has been through the financial wars herself -- but has revealed she is now back on top when it comes to her clothing empire.
