Can anyone look as good as Pippa Middleton?
Probably not, but at least we can try -- especially now that her famous bridesmaid's dress is coming to the high street.
That was my task as I set out down Henry Street to department store Debenhams.
The retailer has designed a replica of the fabulous frock that catapulted Pippa into superstardom, and I went along for a sneak preview.
Although Miss Middleton's custom-made Alexander McQueen ensemble was reportedly worth €30,000, Debenhams' adaptation comes in at a more recession-friendly €225.
"We've produced an exclusive range which takes its inspiration from Pippa's wardrobe," said Karen Nason, the store's spokeswoman.
"Pippa's bridesmaid's dress is the most sought after around at the moment and there was a lot of customer demand for a remake."
When she sashayed down the aisle in Westminster at big sister Kate's wedding in April, Pippa became an overnight sensation.
While Kate's lace-bodice McQueen bridal wear saw women green with fashion envy, it was the younger Middleton's choice that had us really talking.
"Pippa is the one everyone wants to watch and follow in the fashion stakes," Karen told the Herald.
"We've taken the best parts of the dress and recreated it at a high-street price."
Playing the part of Pippa for the afternoon, I had the chance to saunter around Henry Street in my copycat version and had a royally fabulous time.
The first store to produce a remake of the legendary gown, Debenhams will launch the dress in a soft ivory colour with the similar cowl neck, cap sleeves and button detailing down the back.
After trying on the magnificent floor-length number, brides-to-be everywhere will be dying to get their hands on it. The material and the cut of the dress make for a fabulous, classic wear.
The dress is expected to hit stores in October.
