TV stylist Brendan Courtney helped launch his own shop in Dublin last night.
He and long-time collaborator Sonya Lennon toasted the opening of their stand-alone store, Central Dairy, in Stephen's Street.
Their debut clothing collection has won over fashion fans, recently launching in Canada as well.
Brendan (inset) told the Diary he was delighted that Irishmen are taking their style seriously and looking after themselves.
"It's no longer seen as a gay thing to want to look smart and groomed," he said. "We have a generic high street now and we all have Top Shop and designer labels, so yeah, Ireland's as good as anywhere else."
Next month he will present the Peter Mark VIP Style Awards at the Marker Hotel.
However, given that it's in its 13th year, he admitted to being "very superstitious" and hopes everything will go all right on the night.
"It's the only awards ceremony that doesn't take itself too seriously, even though some of the award winners do and some of the losers particularly.
"It's cheeky and fun and stylish – a bit like myself."
