Blues stars take it easy at party in Krystle

THE blue carpet was rolled out in Dublin on Saturday night but the Leinster heroes kept their celebrations measured.

The Herald can reveal how celebrity haunt Krystle pulled out all the stops for the players -- but they nearly didn't make it to the party.

As a result of the warm weather and high intensity of the game against Ulster, one of the players was so dehydrated he couldn't submit to a urine test -- delaying the team by a couple of hours.

They left Luton airport later than originally planned and did not arrive back into Dublin until after midnight.

Upon arrival into Dublin, some of the guys headed into the Burlington Hotel for a late night get-together with their proud friends and family.

Gathering

And some of the die-hard players decided to continue the fun by heading into the VIP club, where their supporters had been gathering from early on in the night.

Club owners Rangan Arulchelvan and Eileen Wright had cordoned off a section for the lads and their partners.

They were treated to a heroes' welcome as they were escorted up to the VIP area of the venue, which was packed full of well wishers.

Bottles of champagne were laid out on all the tables, although players were on their best behaviour given they have another final next weekend.

Among those spotted at the bash included prop Cian Healy, who scored a super try. He was there with his former Miss Ireland girlfriend Holly Carpenter, who had flown over to cheer him on at Twickenham with his sister and her boyfriend.

Other attendees included Jamie Heaslip and Dave Kearney alongside Ian Madigan and Fionn Carr.
