Birthday girl Samantha marks her big day in style

Samantha Mumba had a night to remember on Saturday when she celebrated her 28th birthday with an invite-only bash in Buck Whaley's brand new VIP area.

The pop princess-turned-actress was joined by her longterm beau Torray Scales, along with a host of old friends as she toasted the milestone.

Dressed to impress in a tan shirt and black skirt Samantha partied into the early hours alongside well known names including her younger brother Omero Mumba, actor Chris Newman, Fair City's Aoibhin Garrihy and her Red Carpet agent Tara Sinnott to name but a few.

The Drumcondra-born star was also presented with a cake and flowers by management at the up-and-coming club on the night.

Samantha is due to return to her adopted home of the LA on Wednesday and says she won't be back on Irish shores for a while given that she'll be tied up with work projects for the immediate future.

FOLLOWING his recent appearance in hit production War of the Worlds, former Neighbours star Jason Donovan is set to return to Irish shores later this year when he stars in The Sound of Music at the Grand Canal Theatre.

Andrew Lloyd Webber's production will kick off on April 5 and is set to run until the 30th of the month, with tickets on sale now.
