Besotted Baz honours sister as new baby daughter joins family

A MASSIVE congratulations to RTE presenter Baz Ashmawy and partner Tanya Evans who recently welcomed a new baby girl to their family.

The former How Low Can You Go host was delighted when Tanya gave birth last Friday morning in the Rotunda Hospital.

After a few days of deliberation, the Diary can reveal that Baz and Tanya decided to name their daughter Mahy, after his Cairo-based sister.

"It's an Arabic name which means moonlight," Baz explained. "I couldn't be happier, I'm besotted."

In June 2010, he became a first-time dad to little girl Hannah, before going on to have a second child with Tanya. She also has four other children from a previous relationship.

The whole gang share a house together in Rathmines which Baz joked was going to be "like a zoo" with the latest addition.
