Being a style queen can be thirsty work

AWARDS shows are thirsty work.

Just ask our celebs who, after the glitz and glam of last Friday's VIP Awards, headed to Krystle nightclub where they racked up a whopping €9,400 bar tab.

The after-party was held in one of the clubs suites and the winners, losers and party-goers downed a lorry-load of booze.

"The champagne was flowing and there were bottles of Moet popping," one source said.

"People were doing shots at the bar and there seemed to be an endless supply of fizz – they really hit the bar hard."

impressive

So hard that within hours, the tab was already in its thousands.

"It was a free bar and everyone was knocking back champagne. Considering they all arrived around 1am – they ran up a pretty impressive bar bill."

Actress Aoibhin Garrihy chatted with her pal and fellow Fair City star Aoibheann McCaul by the bar.

Darren Kennedy and Virginia Macari, meanwhile, darted around the outdoor smoking session.

"Practically everyone at the awards showed up at Krystle, so it was pretty star-studded event," said the source.

Best Dressed winner Kathryn Thomas and Jennifer Maguire chatted at the bar.

Brendan Courtney wowed the crowd with his hosting skills and killer dance moves.

And despite receiving a roasting from Michael O'Doherty regarding his supposed weight gain, Daithi O Se was in great form.
