Barlow's anger as Robbie backs Rylan in X Factor row

IT has already driven a wedge between him and fellow judge Louis Walsh -- now Gary Barlow's dislike of Rylan has threatened his turbulent friendship with Robbie Williams.

X Factor judge Gary (41), who fell out with Louis after he voted to save Rylan in the first week of this year's series, is reportedly furious that his friend and fellow Take That singer Robbie is supporting 'Marmite' act Rylan.

Despite Barlow's criticism, Robbie has been impressed by Rylan and has even taken to twitter to support the Essex singer, who has made it through to next week's show.

"TEAM RYLAN ALL THE WAY VOTE RYLAN" Robbie's backing @rylanclark on @TheXFactor... who's got your vote?,' Robbie (38) wrote on his Twitter page.

Gary, who narrowly avoided losing another act when singer Kye Sones was forced to take part in last night's sin- off, expressed his anger over Robbie's comments live on air.

Booing

After host Dermot O'Leary broached the subject on Sunday night's live show, the Take That singer said: "20 years of knowing each other and it's all over in five letters."

Gary described Rylan's performance on Saturday night as "the worst" and booing noises were heard from the crowd during the results show when host Dermot announced Rylan was safe.

Rylan's mentor Nicole Scherzinger said: "I'm team Robbie Williams."

The comments added to speculation that Simon Cowell is trying his best to "unsettle" the singer.
