Barbados honeymoon for Gordon and Aoife after summer nuptials

LEINSTER WAG Aoife Cogan has revealed that Gordon D'Arcy has planned the perfect honeymoon in Barbados.

Rugby ace Gordon was the latest rugby star to pop the question last summer.

The couple are now busy planning a wedding that will hopefully have the Heineken Cup as the guest of honour.

In between her modelling commitments and her artistic passions, the Leinster lady has been organising her upcoming nuptials in Monaghan.

"Work is really busy at the moment and then there is all the wedding planning," Aoife said. "I love it. I love all the organising. There is definitely not going to be any frights on the day.

"I do little bits as I go along. I just prefer to be organised.

"We're going to Barbados for a couple of weeks. At least it will be nice weather."

Aoife (27) said that her sister, who is her bridesmaid, had been "amazing" help with the big day. "I'm the last one in my family to get married," she told the Herald. "The only thing I hope is that we have nice weather.

"But because we are in Ireland, you can't really think about it."

Aoife and Gordon will tie the knot in royal style in the cathedral in Monaghan with 250 guests. "It looks massive from the outside, but it's not really when you are inside," she added.

The statuesque blond said that the couple were gearing up for the big game at the Aviva Stadium.

"I'm really looking forward to it. The atmosphere is always great and even more so at the quarter-finals," she said.

But the former Miss Ireland says that she has complete faith that her future husband won't pick up any nasty injuries ahead of their wedding in July. "He knows what he's doing now," she said.
