Bainisteoir Breffny gets close to team

REALITY TV star Breffny Morgan is certainly taking his duties as a participant on RTE's Celebrity Bainisteoir seriously after upping sticks and moving to Galway in order to be closer to his team.

The Diary can reveal how the former Apprentice star (23) -- who has been signed up to go head to head with Dragon's Den star Gavin Duffy on the forthcoming series -- has quit his life in Dublin and moved to Tuam so that he can keep an eye on his new charges, Kilclooney football club.

"It may seem a bit extreme but I'm determined to do this properly as I'm in it to win," he told the Diary.

"I wanted to be close to the team so that I can go to all their training sessions during the week and be there for their weekend matches.

"I plan to stay here as long as it takes. When I'm up against such an accomplished businessman as Gavin Duffy I can't afford to lose. He actually did some of the interviews on the Apprentice last year so this is my chance to show him what I'm really made of after that was such a disaster," he added.

Other contestants on the show will include newly single Today FM star Mairead Farrell, Blathnaid Ni Chofaigh, wedding planner Peter Kelly, better known as Franc, and Aidan Power.

The Harvard graduate will bring his teammates for a day out next week, when they attend Ladies Day at the Galway Races with the cameras in tow.

And while Breffny returned to Dublin to join forces with top model Georgia Salpa for a mock wedding shoot last Friday, the Cork man insists he is still enjoying the single life.

Despite making his name on last year's series of TV3's the Apprentice, Breffny says that he will not be making any surprise appearances on the third series.
