INJURed Strictly Come Dancing star Artem Chigvintsev is to keep viewers on their toes by making a last-minute decision whether he will return for this weekend's show.
The professional dancer -- who partners Holly Valance -- suffered a back injury which forced him to sit out last week's show. He is said to be making "good progress" with his recovery but will make a final decision as late as tomorrow afternoon.
Valance's temporary dance buddy Brendan Cole hinted that he was now out of a job with a message on Twitter.
He wrote: "Now that we know Artem is back in the game with Holly, maybe I'm no longer necessary."
It was accompanied with a picture of Cole sulking while Valance stuck out her tongue and flicked V-signs at him.
Chigvintsev had at one stage been diagnosed with a spinal fracture, but a further opinion revealed he was suffering a joint and soft tissue injury.
He was replaced by Cole for last week's show, which resulted in a score of 34 for his and Valance's rumba.
Chigvintsev has continued to choreograph the routines and has been on hand at rehearsals this week, ready to step in if he gets the last-minute go-ahead.
Valance said she would be happy to dance with either of the stars when Saturday's show comes from Wembley Arena in north London. "You know what, there's no short straw. Both of them are just wonderful and so talented," she said.
Fellow competitor Robbie Savage was back in rehearsals today after suffering ill health earlier in the week.
