Amy's joy over her role in US comedy

AMY Huberman joked that she will never take off her "lucky pink jeans" after landing a massive US comedy show role.

The actress is ready to conquer Hollywood as the star in NBC's pilot Animal Kingdom. Amy (32) revealed her stateside success on Saturday when she joked that her "lucky pink jeans" were never coming off, after she got the role.

The petite blonde will play the female lead role opposite Weeds star Justin Kirk (42).

Animal Kingdom follows Justin's snarky Dr George Coleman, a vet who has a lot more patience for animals than their owners.

In the pilot, Amy will play Dorothy, George's ex-girlfriend who is now engaged to another but returns to his life after she is assigned as the new director of the Rutledge Animal Hospital.

Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle comedian Bobby Lee and Sons Of Tucson actor Tyler Labine also star in the 30-minute-episode.

Fresh from her success at the IFTAs where she won the Best Supporting Actress Award for her role in Stella Days, Amy received plenty of congratulatory messages over the weekend.

"You gorgeous legend!! Many sweet congrats xxx," actress Victoria Smurfit told Amy.

While Amy will remain in the States to work on the pilot show -- and if it gets picked up, on the rest of the series -- she is expected to return to Europe shortly to film the second series of Threesome.
