Amy snaps up Posh new Range Rover Evoque

SHE'S already the poster girl for wannabe rugby WAGs everywhere -- and now Amy Huberman has the wheels to go with it.

The gorgeous Mrs Brian O'Driscoll will this weekend take delivery of a stunning Range Rover Evoque.

The €55k car was styled by Victoria Beckham -- and, when you're married to the rugby world's equivalent of David Beckham, that's no bad thing.

The Herald can reveal how the Dublin actress (32) has been chosen as the new Irish brand ambassador for the Range Rover Evoque.

Amy will get her first look at the snazzy car she will be driving for the next year at the RDS Dublin Horse Show with a display model installed in the main arena for tomorrow evening's Land Rover Puissance contest.

Featuring the famous Wall, which stands at 2m 40cm high, this year's contest has a prize fund of a cool €36,000 for the winner.

"Amy's flying back home from London especially to have a look at the car," said a pal.

"She'll finally have something substantial to park next to Brian's Lexus in the drive."

Formerly a brand ambassador for the Fiat Ireland group, Amy was named as one of its high-profile reps in February 2008, alongside fellow actresses Leigh Arnold and Tara Leniston.

The following year saw a number of celebrities handing back the keys to their free cars as part of an overhaul of the company's programme, although Amy got to keep hers at the time.

Her latest deal sees her upscaling significantly when she takes delivery of her Range Rover Evoque, which is the first collaboration between Victoria Beckham and the car company.

Beckham, who owns her fashion line, is the official creative design executive for Land Rover but the launch date was pushed back following the birth of her fourth child, Harper Seven, last month.

With a choice of three different engines and design themes, prices for the vehicle will start from €42,475 without the frills -- the average price will be around €55k.

A number of Irish celebrities have signed deals with car companies over the years, including her other half Brian O'Driscoll, who is already a brand ambassador for Lexus and drives a SUV GS300.
