Amelia's been stitched up, say insiders, as she has meltdown

The pressure got too much for X Factor hopeful Amelia Lily this week when she "flipped out" during rehearsals.

Amelia (17) is said to be distraught after finding out that she is the only finalist to have been given a low-key set for tonight's long-awaited final

The blonde pop hopeful's friends said she felt "like she's been left on her own to win this".

"She's not getting any help," the source added as it emerged that Amelia had suffered a meltdown ahead of tonight's crucial performance.

The talented teenager will have to compete tonight against big productions which were picked for her competition by their two mentors Tulisa and Gary Barlow.

Amelia's rival acts -- girl band Little Mix and Marcus Collins (23) -- were both showered with attention ahead of the final, which will be filmed live from the prestigious Wembley Arena in front of 24,000 people.

"It seems like Kelly wants to concentrate on Amelia's voice, but the other acts have got much more going on to entertain viewers."

Marcus is expected to sing OutKast's Hey Ya! on top of a full-size model of a jumbo jet. His set will also include 28 dancers.

Little Mix will get on stage on the back of motorbikes before taking on You've Got The Love by Candi Staton. Their performance will also be accompanied by dancers.

Meanwhile, Amelia will perform Christina Aguilera's Ain't No Other Man.

And while the other mentors will be letting their acts shine during a duet between mentors and contestants, Kelly Rowland will be singing just as much as Amelia Lily during their song.

"Gary Barlow and Tulisa have pulled out all the stops and Little Mix and Marcus will look spectacular on stage," a show insider said.

"Perhaps Kelly should have spent more time on the look of her act's performance because it seems like Amelia has been stitched up."

Kelly Rowland (30) has been criticised for flying over to Germany earlier this week to promote her new album at this defining moment of the contest.

Insiders believe that she may not wish for her own act to win the X Factor after her favourite contestant Misha B was eliminated last week.

Kelly had picked Misha B over Amelia to proceed to the live shows at the start of the competition but Amelia was given a second chance when one of the young male contestants, Frankie Cocozza, was booted out because of his wild behaviour.

The show's executive producer Simon Cowell will be watching the final with interest via satellite tonight and tomorrow. He will appear on the spin-off show Xtra Factor to give his opinion on this year's finalists.

Leona Lewis and boybands JLS and One Direction will also perform on tonight's show, while Coldplay will take centre stage tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Middlesbrough football boss Tony Mowbray has thrown his weight behind X Factor finalist Amelia Lily to win.
