1D thrill their fans wuth sneak peek at first film

ONE Direction have given fans a sneak peek into their forthcoming film.

Mullingar teen Niall Horan (19) and his bandmates Harry, Zayn, Liam and Louis thrilled their fans yesterday by releasing a three-minute trailer.

The file – entitled This is Us – follows the group as they play around the world. It also catches up with them at home.

It shows Niall with his father and brother rushing around Mullingar ahead of brother Greg's wedding.

It also captures the infamous moment when Harry's trousers fell down while the group were performing on stage.

The film traces 1D back to their roots – with cute childhood snaps and all. And family members also feature in the film.

The group have spent months working with director Morgan Spurlock on This Is Us, which has been filmed in 3D.

The trailer – posted online – sees the band larking around before shows and while on tour. Fans will see them struggling with the complexities of Japanese food as Niall mistakenly pours miso soup over his rice while visiting the country.

In the film, scheduled for release later this year, Horan explains: "We're normal people doing this abnormal job."

The band were assembled after auditioning for The X Factor and have gone on to score two bestselling albums. Last year, both their releases were in the top five biggest-sellers in the US.

X Factor boss Simon Cowell – who is also their label boss – tells the film: "The fans were the ones who made up their minds that this band were going to be huge."

The quintet also announced that they are to release a new single called Best Song Ever, which will come out as a download on July 22.
