Emma likes 'simplicity' of uni life

Emma Watson has said she is enjoying the "simplicity" of university life.

The 20-year-old, who has become one of Hollywood's top actresses with her portrayal of Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film series, is studying history at Brown University in the US.

"I'm just enjoying the simplicity of my life - I am sharing a tiny room with another girl, I've only got room for three or four pairs of jeans and a couple of tops, and I have no entourage," she said.

"And sleep - it's so great! I sleep all the time. I've never slept so much in my life, and it's wonderful. I don't even own a TV. Me and my roommate didn't get one, so it's really weird, like being in a complete bubble. I don't read newspapers, I don't watch TV so it's nice."

She added: "My life has sort of been compressed and it's nice. Everything is so manageable."

Emma, who has fashioned out contracts with Burberry and People Tree, loves uni life so much that she wants to continue.

"I think university is just so great and I want to spin it out as long as possible - [do] a post-grad maybe, or another degree? I don't know because it's a weird situation to be in, and I'm really doing it for myself. It's just for me," she added.
