Emily cooks up a sequel to rural bootcamp show
FASHION writer Emily O'Donnell and fellow party girls Michele McGrath, Collette McBarron and Claudia Murphy look set to become regular fixtures on the small screen thanks to their one-off RTE show ICA Bootcamp.
The Diary can reveal how the glamorous foursome are already in talks to do a follow-up episode, which will see them bring their mentors from the Irish Countywomen's Association to Dublin to integrate them into their busy lives on the social scene.
Emily (25) explained how the idea for the second programme was her brainchild and is hoping she will have the opportunity to put her elders though their paces before the end of the year.
"The women we worked with really come from a different generation so I think it would be great to bring them up to the capital for a week and give them an insight into our lives.
"Basically I would style them and bring them shopping for a day, Collette would train with them and teach them about healthy living and Michele and Claudia would bring them on a night out, to a social event or something like that."
Among the tasks socialite Emily and the other three girls faced was to make black pudding from scratch, pluck chickens and to shear sheep for wool.
The one-off show, which airs on RTE 2 on September 28, aims to encourage the young glamour girls to get back to basics and instill some traditional values in them.
