singing sensation Ed Sheeran took time from his stage duties to attend his first cousin's wedding in Spiddal.

Fellow musician and Galway-native Laura Sheeran married keyboardist Marc Aubele who plays live with Irish Indie act Bell X1.

The outdoor, festival-themed ceremony was held by a 3,000 year-old standing stone in the restored 17th Century village of Cnoc Suain near to the Connemara Gaeltacht village at the weekend.

With such a line up, the lucky guests were treated to a range of live music performances from members of Bell X1 and The Stunning.

Sharing a photograph of the happy bride with her famous cousin, the Facebook page for Cnoc Suain said: "There was smiles all round at the best wedding event of all time."

BRIDE

The bride is seen looking happy and relaxed with her arm around the 'A-Team' singer who is dressed casually in a black sweater and matching jeans.

Along with her new husband, Laura performs as 'Glitterface', the front person and singer for synth act Nanu Nanu.

Her own solo music has been described as a combination of PJ Harvey, Bjork and Enya. The 27-year-old has performed with the group Fovea Hex and written music for film and theatre.

Although their sounds are very different, in the past Laura has supported her cousin Ed, joining him on stage at the Róisín Dubh in Galway in 2011.
