Eco plan for buses
BUS Eireann is aiming to slash its fuel bill by €1.5m in 2011 with a new initiative called eco-driving.
The adjustments to driving style and performance can reduce fuel consumption by at least 5pc.
Lighting consumption at several garages has already been reduced by up to 60pc, Bus Eireann said.
