Dublin's future is bright, insists Jacob
HELENA JACOB was rushing for the bus. She was off to cheer on the Wexford hurlers.
She had much to be content about on the way to Nowlan Park.
Their handsome victory over Dublin sees them advance to the semi-final of the All-Ireland Senior Championship.
"We still have plenty to work on," remarked the Wexford manager. "We could have been sharper in front of goal, but the important thing is that we got the two points to top the group.
"Both teams played some good camogie, but the big difference is that we got the goals and we also have experienced players like Kate Kelly, Ursula Jacob and Katrina Parrock."
Yet Helena took the time to salute the courage of the hosts who played some sparkling stuff after the tea.
"Dublin showed just how much potential they have. They were in a very tough group with Cork, Galway and ourselves.
"Dublin's display will give them the confidence that they can compete with the best of teams."
