THE Diary can reveal that TV3's newest heartthrob David Crowley is very much single.

Although David, who plays a ladies' man on the station's new soap Red Rock, hasn't quite prepared for the female attention bound to come his way soon.

"I haven't really thought about it," he admitted, before adding with a grin, "Who knows maybe I'll get a website."

He will be something of a player on-screen though - reportedly leaving a string of broken hearts in his wake, according to show insiders.

"I'm a singular man - single and happy," David (inset) added.

The young actor, who has also appeared in Ripper Street and as Prince Charming in the 2013 Gaiety panto, is delighted to have found work so close to home.

"I loved London but I very much love Dublin," he admitted.

"As an actor you can't really base yourself anywhere - you have to go where the work takes you. I'm really looking forward to it."

Red Rock starts on Wednesday and will air twice a week on Wednesday and Thursday evenings and will serve as a replacement for Coronation Street and Emmerdale which will now air on UTV Ireland.
