She has been filming reality TV show Exiles in Vancouver for months but now model Nicola Hughes is home and her boyfriend Alex Mytton was straight over from London to visit her, the Diary can reveal.
Sandyford native Nicola posted a picture (inset) of the glamorous couple enjoying dinner at Siam Thai in Dundrum town centre on Monday night.
"It's good to be back," the blonde beauty wrote online.
Made in Chelsea star Alex was excited to see his girlfriend after they only met each other infrequently while Nicola was filming in Canada.
"Finally get to see Nicola Hughes. Praise the Lord," he said.
Alex is also a DJ and he played a gig in Derry on Saturday night before heading to Dublin to visit Nicola (24) and then jetting back to London yesterday afternoon.
Insiders have revealed that the couple were determined to make it work despite the long distance.
"They really like each other. They've been smitten since the summer and they were never going to let distance get in the way," a source said.
"They made a lot of effort to fly over and back to see each other while they were filming so everyone is hoping it works out."
However, while Nicola is finding success on the set of one TV show, it's been made clear that she's not welcome to feature in Made in Chelsea.
There had been rumours that Nicola would make an appearance on the E4 show as she has been dating bad boy Alex since August, but her reality TV appearances will be limited to this side of the Irish sea when Exiles airs on RTE2 in the new year.
However, Alex's co-star Louise Thompson made it clear that Nicola (24) would not be appearing in the show.
"I have never met Nicola but I know that she was hanging out with Alex," she said.
"She won't be joining, no. I guess we are very open to letting new people join - we have had Americans so I presume Irish people can join," she continued. "I have heard that she is doing a different show in Canada," Louise added.
Alex and Nicola have been seeing each other since they met at an appearance in Naas in August. They were later spotted in London and were on holiday in Greece together.
The hot couple were also spotted acting very loved up in Everleigh Garden on Harcourt Street before Nicola jetted off to Canada in September.
Exiles is an upcoming reality TV show that follows young talented Irish people as they try to make it in Canada.
Nicola has always expressed an interest in becoming a presenter and her time at Balcony TV served her well as she sharpened her skills abroad. She interviewed a rowing team as part of the show and said that she thinks being a presenter would be a "cool job".
Tallafornia star Kelly Donegan has revealed that she would never return to reality TV even though it is where her career began.
The 24-year-old did admit that while she doesn't regret her time on the show, she wouldn't do it again.
"I suppose doing reality TV for me didn't really suit" Kelly admitted to the Diary.
"The show was fine, it was a bit of fun. I would never regret anything, it gave me a big platform to help women, motivate them to be healthy.
"I see myself more as a coach than someone who was on reality TV. I would never go and do it again. I just don't know if that type of show suits Ireland," she added.
Kelly (inset) currently competes in body-building competitions and regularly keeps her followers up to date with her efforts in the gym and the progress she's made.
The brunette also revealed that she feels people's perceptions of her have changed since her days on the Dublin- based reality show.
"People have this perception of people that are on reality TV, that they're a certain type of person," she said.
"It's been a pretty exciting year for me, people are starting to get to know me more as a person than what they thought I was.
"I have some really big projects coming up next year as well, it's going to be my best year yet.
"A lot of people don't know that I did graphic design in college, I'm really arty. People weren't really aware of that," she added.
Kelly also revealed that new reality show Infectious - which has yet to be picked up by a TV station - starring fellow Tallafornians Nikita Murray, Marc O'Neill and Phil Penny is not something she is interested in.
"I don't really have a comment on it. What can I say?"
