Xpose's Lisa Cannon finds awards season is her busiest time of the year, but there is light at the end of the tunnel as she contemplates this year's Oscars.

The bubbly presenter will be rubbing shoulders with the stars on the red carpet and has managed to land an invite to Elton John's glitzy annual bash, the Diary can reveal.

"I'm very excited," the TV host said.

"We got invites to go this year which is brilliant. I've to pick a nice dress for that; they have a huge guest list," she said.

"I can't wait for that one. For me the Oscar's is 'it'. I'm such a movie nut," she added.

Before the Academy Awards kicks off the bride-to-be will first have to head back to London to nab Jamie Dornan at the Fifty Shades of Grey premiere on Friday night.

"It's a tough life," she joked.

It may sound like fun and games, but following the stars around the world is tough work for the host.

"It's not all it's cracked up to be, it sounds more glamorous than it is," she laughed.

With a wedding to plan, the 35-year-old admits she is not getting much sleep.

She will tie the knot with her former rugby player fiancé Richard Keatley in an intimate ceremony in Florence, after opting against their original plans for a south of France bash.

"We loved Italy, even though neither of us speak Italian, we just love the vibe," she said.

Busy Lisa hasn't even had time to get a dress yet and her other half has beaten her to it when it comes to wedding style.

"He has his suit already so he'll be having his Carrie Bradshaw moment before me," she said.

"I'm at the point now where it is hard to get excited because you're not sure exactly what you're doing," she said.

On the day, the ever-composed Lisa suspects that there will be some tears.

"They will be happy tears though," she explained.

With so much to do in such a short space of time, something has to give.

"I'm not getting much sleep to be honest. I'm up until all hours of the morning looking at flower bouquets. It's tough going," she said.

"I've complete faith in myself that I'll get it done."

When the big day is over, the loved-up pair will have a honeymoon to look forward to, with Lisa saying they're looking at the Seychelles as a possible destination.
