JODI Albert's humorous book about post-natal depression is on hold for the moment, as she looks forward to welcoming another baby to the family.

The Hollyoaks actress revealed last year that she had been penning a book which she hoped would offer an insight into being a first-time mum.

Jodi (31) suffered from post-natal depression after giving birth to her and her husband Kian Egan's first son Koa in 2011.

Koa is set to become a big brother in May but Jodi's as yet untitled book has been put on pause for the time being.

"She hasn't finished it, she has gotten it to a point where she is stopping it until she is ready to go gung-ho," Kian said told the Diary.

"The pregnancy has gotten in the way with that as well.

"I think it has kind of refocused her brain. It has put her focus in a different way," he continued.

The brave actress hopes to break down barriers with her truelife book.

"I think the big thing for her was realising it and then realising how taboo it all was and why should it be?" Kian said.

"I think that's the big thing in her mind."

The couple announced the news of their pregnancy last year with an adorable video of toddler Koa explaining that there was a "baby in mummy's tummy".

However, his dad reckons his young son doesn't really understand what's going on yet.

"He understands and he knows that there is a baby in mummy's belly and he's got to be careful and not jump on her and all that kind of stuff but I don't think he really understands what's coming," he explained.
