Ireland AM presenter Anna Daly has revealed that meeting Dame Helen Mirren was the highlight of her year.

"Interviewing Helen was incredible, she's one of those people that I'll always remember meeting," she told the Diary.

"You don't get star struck after a while when you interview a lot of big names but definitely it's hard not to get star struck when you walk into a room and Helen Mirren is sitting there.

"She has such a presence and from a work point of view, that was definitely a very special moment," she added.

Anna (35) has two sons, Euan and James, but admits she's not prepared for the festive season just yet.

"Not a bit, we've very excited for Santa but mummy and daddy need to be a bit more organised and get all the last-minute shopping," she laughed.

Speaking at the launch of Cinderella at the Tivoli Theatre, the blonde beauty said she's a big fan of the panto.

"I'm a fan of all theatre and I don't get to it nearly as much as I'd like to. But panto is as magical to watch it as it is to watch the children's reaction to it," she said.
