Top model Aoife Cogan (29) put her best food forward over the weekend to help launch a new initiative.

Aoife, who is married to rugby player Gordon D'Arcy, joined up with fashion designer Helen Steele to unveil details of a student design campaign in aid of Action Breast Cancer.

Aspiring designers and creative students alike are being called upon to throw their hat into the ring for a new contest, with Centra looking for submissions for an eye-catching design for its recyclable bags.

Helping to find a winner will be Helen herself, with the contest closing on March 15. Last year saw over half a million euro raised for the Irish Cancer Society.

• There's not long left until Danny O'Donoghue, inset, and his bandmates take to the stage for their two sell-out concerts in the O2 Dublin.

The mentor on The Voice in Britain will be performing for fans on February 28 and March 1 in the capital city before heading up to the Belfast Odyssey Arena for their March 5 concert, with a limited number of tickets still available for the gig.

The band has just announced that supporting them will be The Original Rudeboys and Hudson Taylor.

• The 11th Jameson Dublin International Film Festival is now in full swing.

One of the event's highlights will be the arrival of Hollywood legend Danny DeVito to town on Thursday. He will take part in a Q&A session with members of the public after a special screening of LA Confidential in the Mansion House.

But he'll be back in the limelight this Friday as he heads northside for the screening of War Of The Roses.

DeVito will be joining our own Brendan Gleeson at the Savoy for more interviews as he meets and greets his Irish fans.
