Dublin punter nets €25,700 with a €15 FA Cup treble

One lucky Irish punter picked up a €25,000 pay-out after backing three outsiders in the weekend’s FA Cup action.
The Dubliner put €15 on Leicester to beat Tottenham, Bradford to beat Chelsea and Middlesbrough to beat Manchester City.
The odds worked out at 1,715/1, netting the punter €25,740 for his unlikely treble.
Defying the odds, the bet looked like being all but lost after Chelsea cruised into a two goal lead at home to Bradford, but the visitors achieved an unlikely comeback to win the game 4-2.
Boylesports’ Liam Glynn described the previous weekend as a pricey one for the bookies, but they recouped their losses this time around.
relief
“After suffering a seven-figure loss on the football last weekend, we can breathe a sigh of relief despite the lucky Dublin punter scooping €25,700 from his €15 treble on the underdog teams in the FA Cup,” he said.
“We wish the lucky Dublin punter who defied the odds of 1,715/1 happy spending and are thanking Middlesbrough, Leicester and Bradford for upsetting the short-priced favourites in the cup this weekend.”
The shock exits of three ‘banker’ teams sees Arsenal installed as the bookies’ favourites to regain the trophy at 11/4 followed by Manchester United (3/1) and Liverpool (11/2).
West Ham are 8/1 while Rochdale and Cambridge are both at 500/1.
