Dublin lace up blue boots for worthy cause
THE girls in blue were in the pink at O'Moore Park last Sunday.
The Jackies wore pink laces in their TG4 Leinster Senior Championship success against Laois.
They did so to raise awareness for the 'Lace Up For A Cure' campaign which highlights the awareness of breast cancer.
Dublin supremo, Joe Keane, is thrilled that the Dublin LGFA are partnering Breast Cancer Ireland.
"As one of the largest female sporting organisations in Ireland, we are only too happy to support the work of BCI."
Aisling Hurling, Director at Breast Cancer Ireland, is also happy with the link-up with the Dubs.
"We hope by our association that more and more women, young and old, will become breast aware. Awareness helps to saves lives."
* Laces cost 5 euro (4.70 euro goes directly to fund Breast Cancer Ireland's pioneering research programmes). The laces are available from www.breastcancerireland.com
The club who sells the highest number of pink laces will see one of their juvenile teams train with the Jackies.
