Doyle sells DC hotels

IRISH hotel group Doyle Collection is understood to have put two of its properties in Washington DC up for sale.

The Marriott Courtyard Hotel and the Normandy Hotel will be sold through estate agents CBRE.

The group has decided to focus on large, wholly owned and operated luxury hotels in major cities.

The company wants to retain ownership of the 327-bed Dupont Circle Hotel in Washington.

The owners are also eyeing up another property to add to the portfolio in London -- the Doyle Collection owns and operates the Bloomsbury, the Kensington and the Marylebone hotels in London.
