Double Féile joy for cool Crumlin
féile peil na nóG DIVISION 7 FINAL
Crumlin's defence excelled as they seized the Dublin Féile na nóg Division 7 crown when defeating a battling Lucan Sarsfields B by 1-7 to 0-4 in Parnell Park.
It completed a double Féile win for Crumlin after their hurlers' success a fortnight ago with Jack Stacey and Mikey McHugh playing pivotal roles for the winners in what was a highly competent and efficient team display.
The winners further benefited from the endeavours of Daniel Dunne, Seán Walsh, Seán Magee, Craig Raymond and Craig Davis as they seized control of the contest for large parts.
That the decider remained competitive and enthralling throughout was down to a spirited effort from Sarsfields as the 12th Lock outfit kept in the hunt through the exploits of the superb Alex Hanley, Daragh Reid, David Donnelly, Niall Murray, Jack Halpin, Danny Tyrrell and Mark Daly.
"The lads played free-flowing football throughout but we just lost to a strong Crumlin side", said Lucan manager Joe Donnelly.
