Dermot to dish the goss on Irish visit

X FACTOR star Dermot O'Leary will be jetting into Dublin this month, the Diary can reveal.

The half-Irish presenter (left) is coming to these shores to reveal the tricks of his trade after signing up for a Talent Lab Masterclass.

He is one of the big-name personalities who will take part in the workshops, which are running as part of the Coca-Cola Cinemagic Film and TV festival.

The popular presenter, who will be back on the small screen this autumn fronting the ninth series of the talent contest, will be dishing out his top tips on TV presenting at an event at the Burlington Hotel on May 20, with tickets costing €20.

He will be leading participants through the practicalities of being behind the camera as he explains what has made him such a dab hand in front of it.

Louis Walsh's pal is not the only familiar name taking part in the event, which is being launched this Saturday by MTV beauty Laura Whitmore (inset).

Other participants include Ros and John Hubbard, whose casting agency has been involved in some of the biggest productions over the past 20 years, including The Commitments, The Lord Of tThe Rings and The Hobbit. Bafta-winner Aisling Walsh will be giving a workshop on directing as well as writing film scripts, while actress Suranne Jones, best known for playing the part of Karen McDonald in Corrie, will be giving a free masterclass about her acting life.
