Dad of two accused of kill threat to neighbour
A father of two allegedly threatened to have his girlfriend's neighbour shot, telling him "you're f***ing dead, I mean it".
Francis O'Hanlon (48) is also alleged to have shouted "you're a rat you, you're dead, I'm going to get you shot".
The defendant, of Bessborough Parade in Rathmines, appeared before Tallaght District Court charged with making threats and intimidating witnesses.
The incident took place outside the alleged victim's home in Tallaght on February 13.
Garda Thomas O'Dwyer said the alleged victim is now living in fear as he believes the threat could be carried out.
Defence solicitor Michael Hennessy said the DPP's directions should be available by now, as it was essentially a "neighbourhood dispute".
The State solicitor asked for five weeks for DPP's directions on the charge. Judge McDonnell adjourned the matter to a date in May for DPP's directions.
