Dad jailed for having stolen TV and shower

A FATHER-of-three caught leaving a DIY store with a stolen television and shower has been jailed for four months.

James O'Hanlon (35) of Arthur Griffith Park, Lucan, pleaded guilty to trespass, handling a stolen Black Diamond TV and Triton shower unit while in possession of a flashlight.

The offences happened at Woodies DIY, Ballydowd, Lucan on June 14 last.

Blanchardstown District Court heard gardai saw him leaving the premises at 3.10am holding the TV and shower. He had no permission to be there.

He also admitted other charges of trying to get into a parked car and possession of a blade.

Judge David McHugh was told O'Hanlon had 53 previous convictions and was serving another sentence.
