Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew insists he will not allow complacency to set into his squad despite the Eagles' excellent start under his tenure.

Palace have won four out of five matches since the former Newcastle boss arrived at the beginning of January and the club are now four points clear of the relegation places.

A 1-0 defeat at home to Everton last weekend, however, served as a wake-up call for Pardew's side, who visit fellow strugglers Leicester today.

"Do I feel like we're safe? No I don't and I won't let that feeling manifest itself," Pardew said.

"The team has good experience, good ability and we potentially could finish mid-table if everything fell into place.

"But I think we all know we've got a big battle on our hands. No-one has fallen away this year.

"Every game will be competitive and we have to make sure we are too."

Only six points currently separate Palace in 13th from Leicester at the bottom of the table.

The Foxes endured a miserable Christmas period but have picked up since the turn of the year, winning four of their last seven matches in all competitions.
