Cox is eager to take on Roy
SIMON COX is relishing a chance to face up to his West Brom boss Roy Hodgson again - at the European Championships next summer.
Hodgson, Cox's manager at the Hawthorns, will take charge of England for the Euro 2012 tournament and an Ireland-England clash in the quarter-finals is possible, a potential meeting in Kiev on June 24 should England win their group and if Ireland finish second in Group C.
"That would be something else, to go up against an England side managed by Roy," Cox (above) says.
"Roy will be really good with England. He'll have them well-organised for sure and they will be hard to beat.
"I think he will do well. He has enough about him to do the job, he will take the rough with the smooth and won't let anything get to him. The media side of things won't faze him at all."
