Corrie's Kev back in work after sex claims
CORONATION STREET actor Michael Le Vell is back on the cobblestones two weeks after sexual abuse claims were made against him.
The 46-year-old soap star has returned to work on the popular soap for the first time since allegations surfaced.
Le Vell - who denies the reports - smiled as he was welcomed back by colleagues on the Manchester set.
Sources said that Michael shook everyone's hand one-by-one in their show of solidarity and support for the Hale-based star, in the wake of the ongoing situation.
"Everyone backed him wholeheartedly, without exception - shaking his hand and offering their support - he was very overwhelmed by their kind words," an insider said.
"Almost every character was on set. Obviously it was nerve-wracking for him, but everyone was keen to put him at ease and make him feel welcome."
It comes after Le Vell, whose real name is Michael Turner, was arrested at his home in early October, on suspicion of sexually assaulting a teenager when she was six-years-old.
He has been bailed until November 16.
When news of the scandal hit the headlines, the married dad-of-two stressed: "I strenuously deny these allegations and will do everything in my power to prove my innocence."
A Coronation Street source said: "Michael is well-liked here, and he has our complete backing while he fights this."
