Cooke takes over at Bray as Sligo go with Dykes and Ndo

CRISIS club Bray Wanderers have turned to Mick Cooke to try and save their season.

But Sligo Rovers remain in the hunt for a long-term manager even though the struggling club have confirmed that caretaker bosses Gavin Dykes and Joseph Ndo will remain in temporary charge.

Cooke took charge of training at Bray last night and will manage the team for Saturday's league game at home to Derry City but the club remain in turmoil, with the Bray Supporters Club last night calling for a protest at the running of the club before Saturday's game, while an EGM of shareholders will also take place that day.

Dykes and Ndo have looked after the Sligo side for the last three games, following Owen Heary's dismissal, and last night the club confirmed "Joseph Ndo and Gavin Dykes have been appointed to take charge of first team coaching and management".

But as neither Dykes nor Ndo have a pro-licence badge they can only stay on for a maximum of 60 days, and a month has already elapsed.
