Clifford plays for foxes U21s

IRELAND U21 cap Conor Clifford has hooked up with Championship side Leicester City in a bid to find a club following his exit from Chelsea, writes Aidan Fitzmaurice.
Clifford is under contract at Stamford Bridge until the summer and was due to be released at the end of the season. But earlier this month the Dubliner announced he had severed his ties with Chelsea and was moving.
He played a trial game for League One side Sheffield United and this week he's featuring for Leicester, appearing in a game for the Foxes' U21 side yesterday.
The 21-year-old, who has been an unused sub for four senior internationals under Giovanni Trapattoni, has previously had spells on loan to Plymouth, Notts County, Portsmouth, Yeovil and Crawley Town.
